Got a broken, crumbling factory aluminum steering box spacer on your Jeep Cherokee or Comanche? Barnes 4WD has the solution with our XJ/MJ Steering Box Spacer! This bracket is laser cut from 3/16" steel and precision machined 1018 steel spacers are pressed  into the sheet metal right here in our manufacturing facility. This bracket has an additional 1/2" hole in the sheet metal to help you install the bracket. This kit will come with brand new 7/16" x 4" grade 8 bolts and washers and a 1/2" bolt, washers, and nylock nut. This spacer will be shipped raw and ready to be painted or powder coated before installation.

Fast Easy Solid Brace

Fastest and easiest install I have ever done.

well designed solution to a common problem. (I thought it was "normal")

Driving impact:
Combined with the big steering brace.

Perfect fit, recommend highly!

The bracket fit exactly. Highly recommend if you’re replacing your steering gear as the old bracket will definitely be rust welded to the old steering gear. Bolts fit perfect. One note: if you have added an aftermarket tow hook kit, you may not need to use the provided bolt to hold the bracket in place while installing because there’s already one there that attaches your tow hooks to the frame. Looking forward to purchasing some more parts from Barnes!
