Transmission Output Seal Extender

This transmission output seal extender is the solution you need to ensure proper sealing on the input of your transfer case to eliminate leaks at the adapter between your transmission and transfer case.  When adding a clocking ring to your transfer case or when swapping to a transfer case with a shorter input often times the transmission output seal will not engage the input shaft of your transfer case and create a leak from the weep hole in the bottom of the transmission tail housing.  This extender will move the seal location back 3/8" or 1-1/8" towards the transfer case.  The 3/8" extender is often needed when installing a clocking ring due to the clocking ring moving the transfer case back away from the transmission. The 1-1/8" is often needed when installing and clocking ring and/or going to a transfer case with a shorter input shaft.  This adapter is designed to be used with a seal that has an outside diameter of 2.56".  To ensure compatibility, check the outside diameter of the seal that is native to your transmission.  Due to the numerous possible transmission, transfer case, and clocking ring combinations you will need to measure the seal location in your transmission and the location of the output shaft on your transfer case to determine the correct length seal extender for your application.  A new seal that was the original output seal for your transmission will need to be purchased and installed along with the seal extender.  This product is manufactured from 6061 aluminum.

Transmission compatibility:

These are the transmissions that are known to use a seal with the correct dimensions, however the length of the extender, and if it is needed for your application will need to be determined by the installer.  This is not an exhaustive list, this product may be compatible with other transmissions we are not aware of.
