Transfer Case Speed Sensor Kit 241 or 241OR

This speed sensor kit is designed to allow you to add a speed sensor to the JK and JKU 241 and 241OR transfer case, that did not have any provision for a speed sensor from the factory.  These transfer cases are plentiful used, inexpensive, strong, feature a fixed rear output and are easy to swap into older TJ, YJ, XJ, and other Jeep models, but they do not provide a location for a speedometer to be connected, this kit solves that problem.  This kit includes the bracket, tone ring, and hardware needed to adapt an off the shelf speed sensor from an 03-06 TJ onto your transfer case to provide a signal for your speedometer.  Installation is simple, all components are bolt on and you do not have to disassemble your transfer case.  The steel mounting bracket and tone ring will ship bare steel and need to be painted or powdercoated during installation.  This kit will provide the same output signal as a stock TJ or LJ Rubicon NP241, it will not correct the speedometer signal for larger tires or different gears.  If adjustment of the signal is desired to correct for tires or gears you will need to use an aftermarket signal modifier. 

• This kit is compatible with 241 and 241OR transfer cases that are found in 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK and JKU models
• You will need to purchase a speed sensor (GPD part# 1815604) separately
• Some older models will need the chassis side connector changed (GPD part# 1P1081) or the sensor wiring spliced into the chassis harness
• This kit is designed to be compatible with a companion yoke rear output with 12 point driveshaft hardware (Parts Mike part# DM4500GK)
